New Zealand born
Robert Schmidli studied piano at the same time he was studying medicine. During
his first year of Medicine at university Christchurch he won a Music Prize,
then while he continued his studies in Dunedin he performed and broadcast his
music nationally.
Robert has performed
as a soloist with orchestras in both New Zealand and Australia after moving
here in 1991. Since settling in Canberra 15 years ago he has continued to
perform as a soloist, accompanist and chamber musician. All this, while
practicing as a specialist in endocrinology and diabetes.
Dr Schmidli will give
a recital in Cooma on Sunday 16 March at 3:00pm on the Snowy Monaro Arts
Council piano, in the Anglican Parish Hall.
